Jahmiel Jackson Announces Congressional Campaign in Pennsylvania’s 3rd District
Youngest congressional candidate in the Nation Aims to Rebuild Trust in Public Service and Lead a New Generation of Democrats
Philadelphia, P.A. – Today, Jahmiel Jackson, an advocate for working families, announced his campaign for the US House of Representatives in Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District. At just 24 years old, Jahmiel is the youngest person running for Congress in the country, and he’s determined to bring fresh, fearless leadership to Washington.
Raised in West Philadelphia, Jahmiel’s life was shaped by hardship and hope. After losing his father to gun violence as a young child, he and his mother faced the brutal realities of poverty and homelessness. But through grit, determination, and the transformative power of education, Jahmiel found his path forward, becoming the first in his family to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.
“I didn’t wait for someone to fix the system; I decided to become part of the solution,” Jackson said. “My campaign isn’t about waiting. It’s about fighting for a democracy that finally listens to the people it’s supposed to serve, not the lobbyists, not the billionaires, but the families who wake up every day trying to make ends meet.”
Jahmiel’s campaign will blend digital-first outreach with grassroots community engagement, leveraging podcasts, social media, and partnerships with regional creators to connect with voters where they are. He plans to center his platform on common-sense governance, affordability, and economic justice and tackling the housing, healthcare, and education crises that are pricing working families out of the American Dream.
“I’m running because the political establishment has hollowed out our democracy and left working people with nothing but slogans,” Jackson said. “This campaign is a direct challenge to a system run by career politicians and donors who profit while communities suffer. I’m not here to manage decline or play along. I’m here to disrupt a broken system and build something new for the next generation.”
