Your Data, Your Power
Americans deserve control over their personal information. I support a federal law requiring every app and website to directly notify users — not hide behind fine print — before selling or sharing their data. Companies must disclose exactly what they plan to sell, who they are selling it to, and why. Users must opt in with clear consent, not be tricked into agreeing. Your data is your property, and it should not be bought or sold without your knowledge.
Protecting Communities from Big Tech’s Energy Burden
Data centers use massive amounts of electricity, driving up energy demand and increasing utility costs for surrounding residents. I support federal legislation requiring data centers to pay the full cost of the electricity they consume and prohibiting them from passing that burden onto local families and small businesses. Tech giants should not be allowed to raise regional energy prices to protect their profits.
